Dr. Andre da Luz Moreira is an Associate Professor of Surgery at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine and Co-Director of Surgery at the NYU IBD Center. He is a colorectal surgeon specializing in inflammatory bowel diseases, with expertise in minimally invasive and robotic surgery for patients with Crohn's disease and Ulcerative colitis. Dr. Moreira has a particular academic and clinical focus on ileal pouch surgery and complex reoperative IBD procedures. He is actively involved in clinical research, international collaborations, surgical education, and mentorship of fellows and residents, and serves as a leader in multiple multidisciplinary IBD initiatives and conferences.
