Dr. Nimmi Kapoor is a Breast Surgical Oncologist and an Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. After graduating summa cum laude from UCLA, she earned her medical degree with AOA honors at Weill Cornell Medical College. She completed her general surgery residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital Cornell and her surgical oncology residency and research training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Kapoor further specialized by completing a joint Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship at the John Wayne Cancer Institute and Cedars Sinai Medical Center. Currently, she serves as the Director of Breast Surgical Skills and Innovation at UCLA, where she leads a nationally acclaimed course on Breast Ultrasound, Intraoperative Localization, and Oncoplastic surgery. Her research interests include genomic profiling of tumors, postpartum breast cancer, and cryoablation.
