The Robotic Global Surgical Society (TROGSS) is an intercontinental, multidisciplinary professional society committed to: “Advancing Robotic Surgery and Education, for Our Patients, by Our Surgeons.”
Founded in 2021 as the robotic surgery chapter of the Upper Gastrointestinal Surgical Society (TUGSS), TROGSS evolved into an independent surgical society in 2024. Now officially registered in Orléans, France, TROGSS is home to a growing global network of members representing both hemispheres and every surgical specialty where robotic systems are used to enhance patient care.
Giant incarcerated paraesophageal hernias (PEH) represent one of the most formidable challenges in upper gastrointestinal surgery. In this specialized video masterclass, Dr. Serena Guarriello demonstrates how the robotic platform can transform this complex reconstructive procedure into a highly precise and reproducible intervention. This presentation—which received the Best Video Presentation Award at the inaugural TROGSS International Congress in Luxembourg in July 2026 - offers a detailed, step-by-step review of robotic PEH repair, focusing on viscera reduction and mediastinal sac dissection. Following the surgical video, Dr. Guarriello engages in an interactive Q&A session with the TROGSS scientific panel, featuring Prof. Juan Santiago Azagra, Dr. Beniamino Pascotto, , and Dr. Rodolfo J. Oviedo. Together, they discuss critical clinical decision-making, tension-free cruroraphy techniques, and anti-reflux fundoplication choices, providing viewers with a comprehensive understanding of how to optimize clinical outcomes and minimize recurrence rates in high-risk patients.

As the global surgical community prepares for the highly anticipated TROGSS Luxembourg Congress, AIS Medical Network presents an exclusive pre-event panel: "Robotic Surgery: Technology and Education." This session serves as the definitive scientific prelude to the main congress, bringing together a distinguished faculty of global pioneers to provide a strategic roadmap of the key themes that will define the meeting in Luxembourg. Our panel of experts will engage in a high-level discussion, bridging the gap between cutting-edge clinical practice and the educational pillars essential for the modern surgeon. In alliance with The Robotic Global Surgical Society (TROGSS) Welcome & Introduction – Dr. Bengy Pascotto (Moderator) Panel Discussion: Road to TROGSS Luxembourg – The Future of Robotic Surgery – All Faculty Closing Remarks – Dr. Bengy Pascotto
